It has been some time since I have tried to share my observations. I was heavily involved in a campaign and felt the need to remain silent. No longer.
First, it is clear that whatever one thinks of the President, his cohorts really are the gang that couldn’t shoot straight. Michael Cohen?? Michael Flynn?? Paul Manafort?? Jerome Corsi?? Roger Stone?? Then he tops it off with Rudy Giuliani. It is hard to imagine how these people made it through life before now. Perhaps they lived in a world of no consequences and forgot that, when you are talking about our country, others pay attention.
A question both Democrats and Republicans need to answer is, “would you be saying what you are saying now if the President were a Democrat?” I think in both cases the answer would be “no.” Republicans would be yelling for his scalp and Democrats would be saying, “it is ok to lie about sex;”…oh, wait, they already said that about Clinton.
Speaking of which, can’t the Clintons just go away? Now they on their latest money-grubbing tour. Fortunately, they are not drawing crowds, but they still are trying to act like Hillary is considering running in 2020. The only reason to think about that is that the final humiliation might actually make them go somewhere and count their money, leaving the Democrats and the country alone so we can try to forget them.
And about collusion with Russia, there is the most obvious connection that seems to be ignored. When Trump wanted to build his tower in Moscow, he got the go-ahead from a Russian bank that was under US sanctions because it was controlled by the Kremlin. So, unless sanctions were lifted, no financing and no Trump Tower Moscow. As we may recall, it was the relief of sanctions that was the topic of the Trump Tower meeting with little Donnie and friends. It is also what Flynn lied about. Remember, this is a President who keeps his business going while in office, so why would anyone think that he thought he couldn’t do this as President? So, when we read about collusion and when Giuliani next slithers out to say how this is like “spitting on the sidewalk,” it is actually more like dumping a bucket of water on America from the $50 Million suite of a cheering Vladimir Putin.
