Well, now that we have endured the conventions and we race toward the election, I thought it was time to reengage.
When I began writing these things, Trump had just been elected. I was trying, primarily for my friends in Europe, to explain how this could happen.
I always believed Trump would be awful, but he has exceeded my expectations. It’s not as if the institutions he and his bully boys shred on a daily basis are a result of someone deciding that a change is required.
It is because they do whatever they want, and the feckless Congress can’t stop them. The Democrats have wrung their hands and wet their beds about him for almost four years. With the exception of Pelosi and a few others, Trump has ignored them. As for Republicans, it goes without saying that their cowardice will be the subject of many dissertations on the failures of the American political system when faced with this calamitous Presidency.
I believe that Biden will win and a semblance of badly needed order and decency will be restored.
It would be ironic, however, if the latest reports of Trump’s comments about “losers and suckers” actually didn’t happen. That would because it sounds like something he has said in other contexts with abandon. And now he offers to “swear on anything” that it isn’t true? Who would believe him because of that? His followers believe all that he says, and his detractors believe nothing he says. How have we come to this point?
Just remember that the worst day of the Trump Presidency is always the same day. Tomorrow.
Democratic party has no agenda, no vision and no leadership.
Hate Trump is not a strategy.
Knelling to BLM. hoping they will go away is a dream, bullies get more aggressive if they are not stopped.
what the Dems elite is not recognizing a large silent majority will vote for Trump only because they don’t have no alternative and are afraid of what will be under Harris
