Well, we now have the race to engage the Trump base in full swing. Josh Hawley has declared he will force a debate and vote on the electoral college count on January 6th. His rationale is there was so much fraud it needs to be investigated. This will lighten the load on the new Senator from Alabama, Tommy Tuberville, who thinks the three branches of government are the House, the Senate, and the Presidency. Best not to tax this man’s brain so soon.

Hawley continues to be in competition with Tom Cotton, Ted Cruz and Rand Paul to be declared the most obsequious ass kisser of soon to be former President Trump.  It is hard to distinguish which one of these four horsemen of the Apocalypse is the most craven. They all are well-educated and know better.  (Granted, Tuberville was a football coach most of his career so perhaps he is still studying up on the Constitution.) These four are gleefully joining Trump in trying to tear it down. It really makes you realize how bad things have become.

A final note is that Cruz, and no doubt the others, is pitching his supporters for money to help in the Georgia Senate runoffs. What they aren’t telling their folks is they have learned from the Grifter-in-Chief how to fund their own political treasuries with this money. And, all of these guys are young. So much to look forward to.
