There were some who felt I was unduly harsh in my last piece about the Republican Party. I do believe it is irredeemable as a Conservative party with traditional values as their candidates, with a few exceptions, find winning primaries can only be done by embracing lies.
Sadly, the clearest example is the response to the search of Trump’s Mara Lago residence for classified documents he took with him. What we know is that there was general disregard during his Presidency for the law regarding Presidential papers. Obviously, efforts to retrieve the documents were unsuccessful despite efforts in the normal course of business.
I am waiting to hear from any elected Republican any concern about the impact of taking classified documents by any President without going through appropriate procedures with the National Archives as dictated by law.
The concern seems to be that the FBI carried out a lawful search authorized by a federal magistrate to retrieve documents illegally removed from the White House.
Does anyone care what these documents might contain? Shouldn’t we find that out before we scream about “gestapo” tactics?
And a word to my Democratic friends. It would be best to remain silent until this matter is complete. Racing to the television studios to announce imminent revelations didn’t work out too well in the Russia investigation. Let the Justice Department do its job.
I remember all too well the suspicion some had when Bill Barr was the AG. Let’s see if Merrick Garland can restore the job to its former glory.
“There were some who felt I was unduly harsh in my last piece about the Republican Party.” What? Boo Hoo! Harsh about people who repeat a lie they know is a lie? People who support jailing public servants? I could go on and on. What would their grandmothers say about these grandbrats? Ambassador Katz was too harsh. Boo Hoo. I would have castigated him for not being harsh enough while being honest and too fair. Hypocrites. You know you are just trying to amplify your corruption.
