It seems curious that Trump, of all people, would punish NATO member countries that have not reached the 2 percent of GDP threshold in military spending by encouraging Russia to invade them. It is a well-established fact (not an opinion) that Trump is a serial offender of not paying bills. Whether he is stuffing Rudy Giuliani or a vendor at one of his properties, his consistent pattern of behavior which includes four bankruptcies, makes him an odd candidate to lecture others on this subject.
Of course, he still doesn’t seem to understand that the 2 percent is not a payment to NATO, but rather a goal for all members, which has been encouraged by all US administrations since Bush. Hopefully, one of his supporters can explain it to him.
And, after his rant about this subject, if anyone doubts who Putin will support should no longer wonder. His shameless appeal for Russian interference should surprise no one.
Finally, he successfully called on Congressional Republicans to reject changes in immigration policy that were less than Republicans wanted and more than Democrats wanted (this, by way of history, is how most policy changes used to be decided). This has led to making sure no changes will take place at the border where there is a crisis. He determined it better to extend the problems than make changes which he believes could hurt his campaign.
For all those who believe he will not be destructive if he is re-elected, I would encourage you to believe what he is saying.
