It looks like everything is not coming up roses for Donald Trump. He is now on the hook for almost half a billion dollars. What makes this all so interesting is that, for many years, Trump avoided the consequences of his actions. He declared bankruptcy four times, had his foundation shut down, closed Trump University (speaking of fake news) and paid a $25 million fine when that happened. He stiffed so many people over the years but never really had to suffer.
With these judgments of business fraud, sexual battery, and defamation from a court, the onus is now on him. To appeal he must post a bond or cash. If he fails to pay, his other assets will be attached by the court. And, while he uses his campaign funds to pay his lawyers ($50 million to date), I am eager to see how he will have his daughter-in-law, newly installed as co-chair of the RNC, siphon money to him to meet this financial crisis.
Finally, next time you consider Trump remember that he has been found guilty of sexual assault and business fraud. Seems like just what some people think a President should be doing.
