Now that we know that No Labels can’t field a ticket that could actually win the Presidency, I have an idea for them. If they really want to see the country make progress at a time when partisanship is unrelenting in avoiding solutions that may make the other side look good, what if they could convince 10 members of Congress to be willing to support the other party if theirs became too extreme. With the House and Senate majorities so slim, a group of well-regarded incumbents could insist on a bipartisan approach.

Now, it isn’t as attractive to the media or likely to generate headlines at first, however, it would actually accomplish something as opposed to another vanity effort coming out of Washington. Who knows, if we got back to some good old-fashioned legislating it might just catch on. Imagine that, no labels!!
