I continue to be confused by the various right-wing members of the Republican conference in the US House of Representatives. They have rebelled against their leaders for working out those things that require Democratic votes. Yet, their attempts (successful and unsuccessful) to remove their top leaders can only happen with Democratic votes.

For example, Kevin McCarthy had 10 Republicans and 210 Democrats vote to remove him. He was removed.  In the same spirit, the Space Laser lady, Marjorie Taylor Greene, needed Democratic votes to oust Speaker Mike Johnson. Even she can count (I assume) and, without an almost unanimous vote of Democrats, she couldn’t succeed. I guess the lure of more time on TV outweighed her concerns about winning as she was unable to get the Democrats to join her latest folly.

I suggest that before you attack someone for being able to work with the other side, you make sure you are not doing the same thing.  I realize that this observation is very retro in today’s environment, but thought I would pass it along.
