Am I the only one who noticed the editorial from the Washington Post on Sunday? It was a very tough critique of the Biden campaign and of the reaction of the President to unpleasant news. Since I think of the Post as a pretty reliable left-leaning publication, I thought it was appropriate and likely written as a wake-up call because they are worried about another Trump presidency.
I know that those people alarmed by the polling numbers in the swing states and the President’s low approval numbers are referred to as “hand wringers and bedwetters,” but I think the Post is correct. The campaign needs to focus on what matters and quit being defensive.
Of course, Trump is horrible, but that doesn’t mean that Biden can’t be criticized or admit when things haven’t worked out.
The stakes are too high for the country – and the world – to be tiptoeing around problems.
There isn’t a lot of time left. The Biden campaign will spend $2 billion before this is over, so let’s have those in charge of it get with it. They have an election to win and right now they are losing.
