Two events caught my eye this week. The first was Trump’s assertion that he had the “right” to attack Kamala Harris. Hmmm, since when has Trump needed any justification to attack anyone? If you are not of immediate use to him or have ever stood up to him, you are fair game in Trump’s mind. Just ask anyone who ever worked for him.
The second event of interest was the ever-noxious, conspiracy-hunting, Congressman James Comer, who now plans to investigate Tim Walz over his activity as a teacher, which involved trips to China with students. Sounds pretty nefarious to me. This is the same blustering fool who has chased the Biden impeachment story as well as other bizarre ideas over the past two years. After all, it stands to reason that Walz, a former teacher and football coach, was using his access through students to have some untoward activity with the Chinese Communist Party.
I guess it is a lot like Jared Kushner, that developer of world renown, getting a $2 billion investment by the Saudi ruler, MBS, who ok’d the murder of a journalist.
If Comer is looking for suspicious activity, he ought to start with Jared before he moves on to Walz. The only thing missing from this circus is Jim Jordon in his shirt sleeves pontificating about something while denying he was aware of wrestlers being molested by the coach to whom he was the assistant.
Sometimes just when you think things can’t get worse, these clowns reappear.
