It was kind of fascinating to watch Trump talking about RFK, Jr. and his endorsement yesterday. Trump used to refer to him as a “crazy nut.” Now he cedes the stage to him and promises him a role in his administration if he wins.
First of all, it is hard to decide who is more delusional. Is it Kennedy for believing anything Trump promises him or extolling Trump’s interest in the health of all Americans. Last time I checked, Trump wanted to repeal the Affordable Care Act and has bragged about being responsible for the Supreme Court overturning Roe. Only someone who thinks that vaccines are harmful and broadband withers your kids’ minds could conclude Trump was Mr. Healthcare.
At the same time, Trump is mistaken if he thinks Kennedy will not continue to say remarkably crazy things which his campaign will have to walk back.
Oh, and by the way, is it really possible to square Kennedy, the environmental lawyer, supporting a man who believes and regularly says climate change is a hoax?
As Alice said, it gets curiouser and curiouser.
It is very interesting to read your political comments about the November presidential elections. On this side of the ocean, we are following it very closely, because the outcome of the elections will also have an echo on this side 😏.
