Evidently, we are going to have to endure a campaign full of hateful rhetoric – and not just from the candidates. Last Sunday, Sen. Tom Cotton said that the 2021 death of the 13 U.S. service members who were killed at Abbey Gate in Afghanistan was because of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris.

Any President as Commander in Chief is the ultimate authority in any military action. So, in a way, I suppose Cotton’s accusation has some validity. I wonder if he feels the same way about the 200+ marines killed in Lebanon in 1981?  Does that make Ronald Reagan the culprit?  Oh, and while we are at it, does Cotton believe we should still be in Afghanistan?  Does anyone?  Unfortunately, this is a preview of the Republican Party after Trump. The infection has spread and there is no such thing as the loyal opposition anymore.
