As we all saw the Iowa poll Sunday morning, the thought occurred to me, “is this the canary in the mine?” 

Since Iowa is not a swing state, it has been ignored by the Presidential campaigns. Therefore, the candidates have been unfiltered by their ads. The poll was done by a highly regarded pollster, so it has more credibility than others.

Is it possible that many Americans have finally decided that Trump is too extreme?  If so, it should be showing up in other polls outside of the swing states, but in reality there are not many high quality polls on the presidential race in non -swing states.

Perhaps the Madison Square Garden was too much for some people, although I understand (to steal a line from the late Molly Ivans) it was probably better in the original German. Stay tuned.
