In case you missed it, Trump just blinked on China. He is now offering to lower his announced tariffs. Perhaps someone finally convinced him how the economy will be impacted by a drastic reduction in imports from China.

He continues to suffer from the illusion that measuring the trade balance is an accurate way of determining fair trade. He is so enamored of tariffs, it is like a little boy who always thought that by jumping up and down he would get his way. He is still a little boy who is often wrong but never in doubt. 

I would suggest that the soft creaking sound you hear is the sound of the courts beginning to overturn his ridiculous executive orders. I’m hoping it keeps getting louder.
