For the last three-plus years, our President has been making up a lot of things. His supporters say that they don’t care if he is exactly factual since the mainstream media is so anti-Trump that they have become unbelievable.
That works when we are talking about political arguments and what is deemed appropriate behavior. It doesn’t work when we face a potential health emergency like the coronavirus.
I hope those same people who have shrugged about the shaded truths and outright lies pay attention to the professionals regarding this outbreak. I know they may be part of what Trump has described as the “deep state,” but if we are going to avoid a bigger problem, they are going to be the ones who do it.
While watching the President’s news conference on the subject, I couldn’t help thinking that all of the references to his superb leadership reminded me of what we would have heard from official if North Korea describing Kim Jung Um. Perhaps it was in the “love letters” (Trump’s words) he received and passed them on to his enablers. It’s good to know that we got something out of the North Korea negotiations.
Allan, all of this is very frightening. I certainly hope Trump will be defeated in 2020. Who should I vote for? Hope you will give your opinion on that question. Thank you and keep writing.
