I don’t know about you, but when the President said the coronavirus would go away, with or without a vaccine, and that testing wasn’t really important, that didn’t give me a lot of comfort.  After all, he said Obama wasn’t born the US, he would only hire the best people (read Flynn, Jared the wonder boy, and Ivanka), and he was the smartest most capable person he knew.

Now that we lead the world in infections and deaths from this virus that he thought would just disappear in April, we face record-high unemployment, a falling GDP, and an incoherent narrative from the federal government on how we will move forward to deal with this crisis.

The answer being offered is brief in “just trust [his] judgment” and if more people die, it is not his fault, as nothing ever is.  As he points out, we could’ve had several million deaths and the fact that we don’t is a testimony to his greatness.  Finally, the numbers are fake news anyway as he and his acolytes in the conspiracy conscious media will be pointing out in the days ahead.

Maybe he can make Jared the Chief Counter of Deaths.  And if the number is too high, he can have the Attorney General investigate Joe Biden to see if there is a Ukrainian plot. Anyway, I hear Michael Flynn may be returning to the West Wing.  Break out the Clorox!
