A number of years ago, Edwin Edwards, the roguish governor of Louisiana, was in a runoff with David Duke, former Imperial Wizard of the KKK. Edwards had been investigated and charged with numerous crimes, most of which he had dodged at the time of this election. His campaign designed a slogan that Trump could use.
Since Trump frequently appropriates slogans and credit from others, I would like to offer my help by sharing the Edwards slogan for a new MAGA bumper sticker…
As Edwin’s campaign said best: “Vote for the crook, it’s important!”
Now, who says I am not a MAGA contributor?

It would be nice to hear your thoughts, on this platform, about the chaos/blatant antisemitism that has invaded our college campuses. The claim of peaceful protests is such an outrageous lie….what is peaceful about illegally taking over and refusing to leave high traffic areas of so many campuses…intimidating/threatening Jewish students…refusing request after peaceful request to disband the encampments…resisting arrest….screaming /cursing at police officers….taking over and defacing University buildings/offices…defacing and destroying private property…ruining graduation ceremonies for hundreds of thousands of graduating students and their families….I could go on and on and on.
Also….on a completely different subject. There are millions of Republicans like me that are completely fed up, and disgusted with the antics and ridiculous lies of Trump….now a convicted Felon. I barely recognize the party anymore. But I have seen almost no effort on the part of main line Democrats to recruit this huge voting block of lost souls….more than enough votes to replace tenfold…fiftyfold the votes that you might lose from the muslim, pro palistinan vote, or supporters of “The Squad” who have abandoned Joe Biden.
Good material for a Hot Tub discussion over a good bottle(s) of wine….or absent that, perhaps in this column of yours.
