I really would like to hear from my Palestinian and Jewish friends who voted for Trump.
As to the Palestinians, the forcible relocation of an entire people doesn’t sound like what you signed up for with him. But, maybe I am wrong.
As to my Jewish brethren, I understand that he is viewed as giving Israel his complete support. But he also has Mel Gibson, a Holocaust denier and known antisemite, as one of his “Special Ambassadors” to Hollywood. Another of Trump’s friends, Ye, just renounced his apology for his antisemitic rants and doubled down on his grotesque pronouncements. Finally, our President pardoned the guy wearing the “Camp Auschwitz” t-shirt on January 6. And, yes, I’m aware that he has Jewish grandchildren.
Then, of course, we have Elon Musk and his comments along with urging the right-wing party of Germany to not feel bad about their past.
I understand that people were not happy with Biden/Harris. I think I understand why. But this type of prelude to what is coming next from the current administration will hopefully make those who supported Trump wonder if their choice was ill advised. Let’s all just hope it isn’t too late.
