There isn’t much to add to the commentary on Trump’s Oval Office meeting with Zelensky. Normally I would complain about the lack of dignity, but this is Trump and Vance we are talking about.  You know, Trump, who blames the airplane collision on DEI, and Vance who lectures the Germans on how they are dwelling too much on the past actions of their country.  Suffice it to say, things are not good.

For my part, I am currently sitting in Europe. The Europeans have finally figured out that Trump has shredded the 80 year old alliance. He has made America, once the indispensable country, the unreliable ally. And, as to his being a deal maker, he went into bankruptcy four times, lost money in the casino business (which is hard to do even for him), and overpaid for the Plaza hotel. He made his money on a TV show and then, of course, as the grifter in chief during his first term. I would point out that his latest schemes to enrich himself make any other politician’s grift pale by comparison.

Trump is interested in revenge and money. Anything else is only commentary.

When you believe you are a great deal maker and you are actually a sucker, guess how things turnout?  Now that his new best friend, Elon Musk, thinks we should withdraw from NATO and the UN, what else will they come up with?

Hang on and maybe some Republicans will finally find their spines… but, don’t hold your breath.
